How to Fix Double-Click Issue on M1 V5 VIA Keyboard?

First, check if the issue is related to the switches. If the double-tapping is random and unrelated to specific switches, try updating the firmware:

• ANSI (US) Firmware: Download here
• ISO Firmware: Download here

⚠ Important: This firmware is only for the M1 V5 VIA version. Do NOT use it on other models like M1 or M1W — it will brick your keyboard and void the warranty.

Before flashing: Toggle the system switch under the Caps Lock key to the Middle position.

Firmware Update Steps:

1. Open QMK Toolbox: Launch the software and install any necessary drivers if prompted.
2. Select Firmware: Click “Open” in QMK Toolbox and choose the correct .bin or .hex firmware file.
3. Enter Bootloader Mode:
   • Disconnect the USB cable.
   • Hold down the ESC key while reconnecting the USB cable.
   • The “Flash/Exit DFU” button in QMK Toolbox will turn black, indicating Bootloader mode. Ensure the Caps Lock switch is still in the Middle position.
4. Flash Firmware: Click the “Flash” button and wait for the “OK” message.
5. Exit Bootloader: Click “Exit DFU” and close QMK Toolbox.
