    1. Destiny L.

Let me preface this by saying I purchased my case from AliExpress and I have the lilac version with gold accents. That said, everything else is the same as described here (Monsgeek software required, included accessories, etc). And I can honestly say this case is beyond amazing. It obliterated all expectations. It feels so premium and comes ready to go! Monsgeek includes little stickers for the force break mod, some additional tape, and foams preinstalled. Stabilizers are prelubed and pretty darn good. And the lilac colorway is beautiful! I hope they update the shop here to include the lilac and silver (and maybe one day other colors). I also hope they add the option for ordering the little side accent pieces in other colors eventually. But as is, this is absolutely one of, if not the, best fullsize board on the market.

    2. Bernardo

I purchased the keyboard from ThockKing.

The delivery and customer service via Discord from Thocking and Monsgeek is spectacular and unprecedented in my experience of buying other stuff online (I usually buy server components to set up workstations for my clients).

After I received the keyboard, I was very impressed with the heft and the feel. I absolutely love the functionality that the Monsgeek driver adds.

To top it all, this product is well rounded, with excellent instruction manual, support software, written instruction, a beautiful case, well crafted, etc etc. I am very happy with the purchase and I have nothing negative to say.

Take my review with a grain of salt – I am not a ‘mechanical keyboard purist’ but I knew the potential of a keyboard like this being made and I decided to wait for years.

I wanted the (1) modularity (2) quietness (3) full size (4) connectivity. I sat and waited for years for something like this keyboard to come up. Even up until early 2023 a full size mechanical keyboard with all the features that I mention above was not offered anywhere and the cost of a custom would be close to $1,000.

My other option was the Keychron Q6 Max but that brand has made some onerous mistakes pissing people off with their bad quality control. I hope that Monsgeek mantains their customer service and their quality so that others can keep enjoying a product like the one I have received.

    3. DMG (verified owner)

Mine was purchase directly from Monsgeek, but oddly enough arrived in a Akko shipping box. Either way this is a solid keyboard… literately. It’s basically a block of aluminum, heavy, thick, smooth, and doesn’t feel cheap at all. I love it. Not a single flaw with mine. Very pleased and well worth the cost. It’s nearly the perfect keyboard.

Actually there was a slight flaw from the factory. The built in battery/power wasn’t working, but a firmware update solved that. Other than that the keyboard functions as expected and the software/driver is very good. The small details matter and it looks like many of them were given the proper attention with both the hardware and software.

      The Good:

      – Solid build quality
      – Excellent driver gives you lots of control (remapping keys, etc.)
      – Keyboard settings are persistent (no need to have the OS booted/driver running)
      – Great instructions
      – Lots of good connectivity options
      – Dedicated volume control keys that actually work correctly
      – Great set of accessories

      What could be done better:

      – Needs an ON/OFF switch… maybe. I’m still getting used to not having one.
      – Connectivity functions should have dedicated button(s) on the rear of the keyboard. I’m sure it can be design to look ascetically pleasing and not interfere too much from the overall look
      – When waking from deep sleep, at least 2 keystrokes are lost, sometimes 3 when pressed rapidly, Try to reduce that to 1 no matter what.
      – Add a proximity sensor to automatically turn on the backlight when it’s off
      – It looks like the battery is replaceable, but that’s unclear. It would be assuring to know that my investment won’t become an actually paper weight in 2 years.
      – The software driver has some English language issues. Maybe invest into improving that.
      – A wireless PS/2 connectivity option.

The only other issue is it didn’t come with feet. Not a huge deal, and I actually think this is a preferable approach. I was able to find my own to my liking and install them.

I will be buying another once they are in stock again.

        Hello,

        Thanks for your feedback.

MonsGeek and Akko are sister brands, so they currently share the same packaging.

The physical switch is located under the ‘Cap’ key. Please refer to the user manual included with the keyboard for detailed instructions.

It may take several seconds for the keyboard to wake from deep sleep mode, so kindly wait after the first press.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

        Thanks for your support!

    4. Alex

I recently purchased the MonsGeek M5W on AliExpress, and overall, I’m very impressed. The keyboard has an excellent metal case, all the components are well-crafted, and the sound-dampening insulation is great. The build quality is top-notch, and it feels very premium.

However, one issue stands out — the low refresh rate of the RGB lighting. The flickering is noticeable to the eye, which affects the visual experience. I assume this was done to extend battery life, which makes sense for wireless mode. However, it would be great to have a higher refresh rate in wired mode or at least an option in the software to adjust it. I think adding this feature would improve the user experience.

I hope the team considers this in future updates!
Thanks MonsGeek team for a great product!
